Bob Klapisch has been covering baseball for "The Record" since 1996, and has won several awards for his writing. He’s been voted among the nation’s Top-10 columnists for three straights years by the Associated Press Sports Editor, and ranked first among baseball columnists in the Record’s circulation category.
A graduate of Columbia University, where he was the sports editor of the "Daily Spectator," Klapisch began his newspaper career at the "New York Post." He worked at the tabloid for eight years covering the Mets and Yankees, before moving cross town to the "New York Daily News."
Bob has written five books, including the best-seller “The Worst Team Money Could Buy: The Collapse of the New York Mets.” His work has appeared on ESPN, FoxSports.com and Sports Illustrated, and he is a regular contributor to the YES Network’s Hot Stove program.
Klapisch is a native of New York City, and grew up in Leonia. There, he pitched for the varsity baseball team and continued to play at Columbia. Today, Klapisch is still on the mound for the semi-pro Hackensack Troasts, who were ranked fourth in the country in 2010 by the National Amateur Baseball Federation (18-and-up).
Bob, who is half-Brazilian, speaks fluent Portuguese and Spanish. He and his wife Kristine live in Westwood with their two children.

It doesn't take much detective work to find Glenn Allan Resch, who's known by area hockey fans for his past (all-star goalie for the Islanders in the '70s and Devils in the '80s) and his present (color commentator on MSG Plus). Resch is practically everywhere – in the record books, on the air and with deep roots in Bergen, where he's lived for the past 14 years.

Thank you, Giants Stadium, and good night. Giants Stadium -- which has a March 2010 date with the wrecking ball -- won't go down in history as a pillar of fine architecture, great acoustics, or anything like that, but there's no denying that plenty of history was made at the old place.
