It was a slow start to the ski season Monday at Campgaw Mountain, after a mild December weather stalled snowmaking and delayed opening day.

Several hundred bicycle enthusiasts turned up to ride in the 34th annual Ramapo Rally at Campgaw Mountain Ski Area in Mahwah., held by the Bicycle Club of Northern New Jersey, last week. And more headed out Sunday to tackle part of the ride again.
