Dr. Jennifer Ashton is a Board-Certified Ob-Gyn, who specializes in Adolescent Gynecology. At Hygeia Gynecology, her private clinical practice in Englewood, New Jersey, Dr. Jennifer Ashton has emphasized a return to old-school medicine with a new-age approach.In March 2009, Dr. Ashton joined CBS News as a Medical Correspondent. She reports on a broad range of medical topics for CBS News' "The Early Show" and the "CBS Evening News." In January 2010, Dr. Ashton spent 8 days in Haiti caring for earthquake victims and reporting on the medical crisis for CBS News before and after her medical shifts. She has covered the H1N1 pandemic and the health consequences of the Gulf Oil Spill. Dr. Ashton is also the author of "The Body Scoop for Girls," published in January 2010. The book is a modern guide for parents and teens ages 10-21 and has been awarded a Gold Medal by the Mom's Choice Awards. For its premiere in January 2012, Ashton joined the team of ABC’s “The Revolution.” Jen is now a senior medical correspondent for ABC News.
