Known for its diversity, Teaneck has built its reputation as a cultural hub for art, shopping and learning. The township's name comes from its original meaning of "a high ridge of land that runs north and south," referring to what is now known as Queen Anne Road. Today, Teaneck residents come from a variety of backgrounds to make the township a hotbed for culture in the area.
