According to PopEater.com, the one-time Malcolm in the Middle teen star is changing gears from acting to politics, tweeting: "I'm going to be a politician. I'm running for public office. I will be announcing soon."
Muniz is currently residing in Scottsdale, Ariz. The Washington Post points out that Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords' ongoing treatment following an assassination attempt in January, there's uncertainty in Arizona about a Senate seat the Democrat once considered pursuing. Her Congressional district may also come up for grabs, should she decline to file for re-election. No one knows Muniz's real timeline for politics since the Wood-Ridge native hinted at a five-year plan on twitter.
Muniz, 25, has already learned the art of damage control earlier this year. Muniz called 911 during a fight with his girlfriend enabling his publicist to issue this statement: "Frankie and Elycia had an argument a few days ago. The police were called to the residence. A gun played no part in the argument and was voluntarily given to the police for safekeeping … There were no bruises and neither left the residence. He was not suicidal. She was not assaulted. They have been together since the incident; are still together and are moving forward with their lives and with their relationship."
