03/17/11 - Harrington Park resident Monica Delehanty was selected by Dance Spirit Magazine's editorial staff for their "Future Star" award in this month's issue. Delehanty submitted her solo "Footsteps" routine that she performed at the 2010 On Stage New York National Competition in NYC. Broadway star Frank Mastrocola choreographed the routine at Anita Ehrler's Dance Extensions in Park Ridge, where Delehanty has studied for 13 years.
Her older sister, Marianne is Artistic Director of Mardeldance Company and was the January 2010 Editors Choice winner for Video of the Month, "Patsy". Monica is surely following in her sisters footsteps.
