The Upper Saddle River Running Moms held a dinner this past week at Ramsey County Club to raise funds for children in need, while remembering a man who sacrificed his life for the good of others. The cause was for Jeremy's Heroes, a nonprofit that brings together children in an environment where they can excel in athletics and in return give back to the community through a service project.

The event celebrated the life and memory of Jeremy Glick, who died aboard Flight 93 on Sept. 11, 2001.

"It really just started with a dinner, and then I was making a list of close friends, and it just blossomed," Elizabeth Mihatov said. "It grew and kept growing and we just thought, 'let's just go for it,' and we organized it as a fund-raising dinner."

There was a dinner, dancing, prizes, a tricky tray and a DJ at the event this past week.
