Vintage Bergen: There's "Snow" Stopping Shoppers

Village crews worked Saturday and Sunday to clear streets and sidewalks in the business district for the opening of the three-day sales event and the bare pavement is proof of the job they did. The Chamber of Commerce, after a poll of members, decided yesterday to extend the sales event today, tomorrow and Saturday for the benefit of shoppers who may have stayed away early in the week because of driving conditions in outlying areas.
