The hopeful lined up at the Meadowlands Tuesday morning to register for "American Idol" auditions at Izod Center.

The registration line opened at 6 a.m. at the "Front of Line" banner at Gate A. But don't fret if you weren't clued in and want a shot at the big time. The line will remain open until roughly 7 a.m. Thursday.

If you get a wristband on Tuesday or Wednesday, you will have to return on Thursday morning before dawn for the actual auditions.
