You don’t have to be a bad parent to be able to relate to Bad Parents, Ridgewood resident and independent film director Caytha Jentis’ black comedy playing in Ridgewood’s Clearview Cinema later this month.

Starring Janeane Garofalo and Christopher Titus, the movie is about overly competitive youth sports parents who take sideline screaming to the next level.

The mostly exaggerated film was not made to advocate for reforms in youth sports leagues, but Jentis and her crew, including many other village residents, hope parents who come to see the film get a laugh and reflect a little on their own parental behavior.
