Location. Location. Location. As many brides know, location and photography are both important factors when planning your wedding day. And finding the perfect setting for engagement photos is no different. New Jersey is a beautiful state that offers so many picturesque elements that will contribute to wonderful photographs. (201) Bride found eight photographers to showcase some of their best Bergen County engagement photos. Whether snapping love scenes in the winter, spring, summer or fall, Bergen offers a wide variety of locales to make your engagement photos picture perfect.

State Fair Meadowlands, East Rutherford
"I tell couples to think of the engagement shoot as a 'date.' I want to photograph them in an environment that tells a story about their relationship. The State Fair Meadowlands offers a great opportunity to photograph a couple playing games, going on rides and just having fun with each other. It's a great location, especially close to sunset, as a photographer can take advantage of both the fading light as well as all of the amazing bulbs that illuminate the fair."
– Joseph Costa of La Moda Studio, Woodland Park

Palisades Interstate Park, Fort Lee
"Palisades Interstate Park is a great place because of the stunning views of the George Washington Bridge, the colorful foliage and other elements in the park like the brick wall and exposed cliff side."
– Asiya Khaki of Photography by Asiya, Edgewater

Downtown Rutherford
"The downtown area of Rutherford is full of diversity that provides a modern look in an intimate setting. There are a variety of places to be creative when taking photos, whether it's walking alongside the tracks at the train station, finding unique walls or buildings for a more urban look, having an intimate conversation at the cute local restaurants or spending a moment at the neighborhood park."
– Amy Lau of David and Amy Lau Photography, Metuchen

Flat Rock Brook, Englewood
"What I really like about Flat Rock Brook is that it is one of Bergen County's best-kept secrets. Not many people know it is even there, so not only do I have amazing surroundings, I don't have many people that I have to worry about getting in the way."
– Patrick Sweeney of Patrick Sweeney Photography, Rochelle Park

Winter's Pond, Mahwah
"The park has various elements to capture, such as hills, bridges, an old railroad and a small barn. As a photographer, I love to take photos in an open space with a clean background. Therefore, this park is just a perfect place to shoot for couples and for myself as well."
– Ha-Seok Chung of CLY Creation, New York, N.Y.

Van Saun Park, Paramus
"Van Saun Park is scenic and lush in all the elements of our four seasons. Winter is especially beautiful. If you go out right after it has snowed, you can get the most amazing results. Snow works as natural light so it makes whatever you are shooting light up, and given the right time of day it can really make your photos pop."
– Joanne DiStasi of Stolen Moments, Paramus

Downtown Ridgewood
"Downtown Ridgewood is a great place for an engagement shoot because there's something for everyone! It's a lovely area with coffee shops, bakeries, boutiques, eateries, the train station, park Écharming options and scenery that nicely complement a couple's love!"
– Lauren Elle of Lauren Elle Photography, Paramus

Ramapo Ridge, Oakland
"Taking photos at Ramapo Ridge is a perfect setting because it is offers a beautiful backdrop of lush trees, stone walls, a lake ... all of which provide a great variety of options and textures for photos. A couple is able to relax in the natural setting and really be themselves."
– Emily Wilson of Emily Photography, Hawthorne
