Web Exclusive: Wedding Day Soundtrack
By

Craig Scott Entertainment loves the challenge of creating the perfect "soundtrack" for the perfect wedding. Along the way they've learned a number of important techniques:

  • When the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all be held at the same venue, consider having different musicians or instrumentation for the ceremony and cocktail hour portions. The reason: Your ceremony is usually held in a different room than the cocktail hour, with different acoustics and a totally different ambiance. Just like the soundtrack to a movie, the music should reflect this ambiance and change as the room, mood and noise level changes.
  • For a truly polished flow and smooth transition from your ceremony to your cocktail reception, be sure that there is music playing for the very last person to leave the ceremony and for the very first person walking into cocktail hour.
