Pink and green. Purple and blue. Red and yellow. There are so many color combinations that you can choose as the backdrop for your wedding. Selecting the perfect colors can easily help you decide on other elements for your big day, such as flowers, favors and even the cake. Three Bergen-based party planners – Becky Vanderbeck of Simply Chic, Tina LaMorte of Oh So Fabulous and Kimberly Myl of Lulu's Inspirations – have each selected two coordinating colors and created amazing wedding-day inspirations for you. Turn the page to see three creative color schemes.

Coral & Yellow

Becky Vanderbeck
Simply Chic Wedding & Event Design, Glen Rock

"Coral has quickly become one of my favorite design colors. It is such a powerful color and works well with a broad palette to create a variety of looks," Becky Vanderbeck, of Simply Chic, says. "My favorite application of coral is for a garden-inspired event. I paired it with mustard yellow to bring in another one of my favorite design elements: vintage pieces. Mustard yellow really adds refinement, bringing in vintage elements to this look."

Aqua & Lime Green
Tina LaMorte
Oh So Fabulous, Maywood
"We did a funky twist on a modern color combination. This color combo is really a fun mix for a bride who loves to play with color and take risks. It's so fresh and fun," Tina LaMorte, of Oh So Fabulous, says. "We thought the perfect touch to this event was a custom mojito menu. The colors worked amazingly well with the story, and this theme screamed South Beach to us."

Purple & Gray
Kimberly Myl
Lulu's Inspirations Event Planning, Ramsey
"Purple and gray have a very vintage, romantic feel together. This deep purple is such a bold color that when paired with a cool gray it truly pops," Kimberly Myl, of Lulu's Inspirations, says. "It has such a stylish feel and is a very sophisticated color combo for an elegant wedding."
