Heather and Todd both grew up in Wyckoff, but they didn't meet until she bought her own house in town. One night in October 2009, a few months after Heather had moved in, Todd walked across the street to introduce himself as her neighbor. "I spent many years looking for Mr. Right," Heather says. "Who knew he would end up right across the street from me?" For their first date, they wound up at the movies with horrible seats and had to maneuver uncomfortably to see the screen without killing their necks. "It was an excuse to get cuddled up and cozy next to one another, though," Heather says. "And it made for a laugh." Todd popped the question on Aug. 30, 2010, when he and Heather visited the Pleasantdale Chateau – which he knew was her dream reception spot. "I was enamored with the place, the grounds and the staff," she says. "It was truly enchanting." And then Todd dropped to one knee. "I started to cry, I was so excited and beside myself with excitement." Heather says. "That day was truly the most special day. It was magical."
