Sally and Kenneth met for the first time at a friend's party in 2008. He was sitting at a table across from her and, as he describes it, he felt a strong urge to walk over and introduce himself. They talked the night away about everything from hobbies to childhood stories.
At the end of the night, they exchanged phone numbers, but with work and their busy schedules, Sally and Kenneth never got around to calling each other to arrange another date. "Then, a couple of months later, my friends and I were out watching the famous Giants versus Patriots Super Bowl game," Sally says. "And to my surprise, my future husband was sitting, once again, at the table next to ours with his friends, watching the game."
The couple got engaged on Dec. 11, 2009. They set out planning a September wedding, but then they realized the Rockleigh Country Club had the day before Mother's Day available. So they rescheduled. "We thought it would be a nice gift to both of our parents," Sally says. "Little did we realize, with roughly six months until the wedding day, every day was a whirlwind of meetings after meetings. But at the end, we definitely enjoyed every moment of the process."
