With fine Turkish specialties as the primary fare, the name Europe Café & Grill at first seems misleading. Co-owner Ersin Iscan says there are good reasons for it, though — most important being that it's meant to reflect wider regional influences in the cuisine he offers.

There are steakhouses and there are steakhouses. The former slap some half-decent meat on a plate, throw some sides at you and call themselves a steakhouse. The latter serve up gorgeous cuts of meat with relentless service and a touch of attitude. Cliffs Steakhouse stands firmly among the latter.

Lisa's Mediterranean Kitchen is homey and good.
Dino's Restaurant in Harrington Park specializes in Italian standards, very well prepared and served impeccably in a cozy atmosphere. On good nights — say, when the monolithic TV is tuned to the Retro station and diners are entertained by kitschy Bollywood musical numbers from the Fifties, Sixties and Seventies — eating at Diwani can feel homey, like dining in front of the tube with takeout.
