Ridgewood restaurant newcomer, Baste Gourmet, hosted a grand opening celebration and kick-off of its Community Wishbone charity program Sunday afternoon, June 26th. Many families from across Bergen County enjoyed tasting dishes of roast chicken (Baste's signature dish), chicken sliders, chicken and mushroom phyllo pie, zucchini fritters and greek fries, all compliments of Baste proprietors Michael and Marge Parlamis. The Parlamis family also owns Axia Taverna, the highly-acclaimed Greek restaurant in Tenafly.

Donations by guests to the Center for Food Action in Englewood made this a win-win dining experience. Baste, located at 26 Wilsey Square in Ridgewood, offers dine-in, take-out and delivery service. For more information on how your local charity or school can be a Baste Community Wishbone Program recipient, please call 201-857-5800.
