With apple picking season around the corner, put a spin on the traditional apple-tini and spice things up with these unique cocktails, courtesy of Joseph Chirchirillo, bartender at Bibi'z in Westwood
CANDY APPLE
Ingredients:
1/2 ounce apple liqueur
1/4 ounce toffee syrup
1 1/2 ounces VeeV Acai spirits
1 ounce apple cider
Caramel covered apple slice for garnish
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain over ice into a glass. Garnish with caramel apple slice.
BIG APPLE MANHATTAN
Ingredients:
1/2 ounce bourbon
1/4 ounce Amaretto Di Saronno
1/4 ounce apple Pucker liqueur
1 ounce cranberry juice
Garnish with a maraschino cherry
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake rigorously for 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a cherry.
APPLE AND BOURBON FIZZ
Ingredients:
2 ounces bourbon
1 ounce apple juice
1 ounce apple syrup
3/4 ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice
Splash of ginger ale
2 slices Gala apple
Directions:
Combine bourbon, apple juice, apple syrup and lemon juice in a shaker and shake well. Strain over fresh ice in a highball glass. Top with a splash of ginger ale and garnish with apple slices.
APPLE PIE MARTINI
Ingredients:
1 part vodka
2 parts apple cider
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Squeeze of lime
1 1/2 parts vanilla liqueur
Apple slice for garnish
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with apple slice.
BIBI'Z BLOSSOM GREEN APPLE MARTINI
Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces Pucker sour apple vodka
1 ounce Midori
Splash pineapple juice
Maraschino cherry for garnish
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Pour into a martini glass.
