Champs: North Jersey Avalanche Bantam A White team wins 2013 NJYHL title

The North Jersey Avalanche Bantam A White team, based out of Ice House (Hackensack) won the 2013 NJYHL Championship. The 7th seed Avalanche team beat the 2nd seed Hollydell Hurricanes, the 1st seed Avalanche Blue and the 3rd seed Skylands Kings at Aspen Ice in Randolph. The team headed by Coach Gary L'Heureux earned their slot as a wild card with a league record of 15-5-2.

"We told the team that our expectation was to go all the way and they delivered" said head coach Gary L'Heureux of Tenafly. "Everyone worked hard all year and no one wanted to go home early" said winning goaltender Joe Sponenburg after turning away 32 shots in the final game.  The Avalanche White team out worked and out scored their opponents 19-6 on their way to claim this year's title.
