A "Trunk-or-Treat" Halloween event was held to benefit the residents of Moonachie and Little Ferry after Hurricane Sandy, held at John Tucci Field on Redneck Road in Moonachie. The event was organized by local families and provided safe trick-or-treating for kids after Halloween was postponed due to flooding in areas of the two boroughs.

About 100 vehicles arrived to set up a makeshift avenue for trick or treating out of the trunks of the cars, according to northjersey.com.

Handsome Devil LLC helped residents by handing out meals and basic food supplies and household necessities to families in need. The Red Cross set up a station to provide hot meals to families.
