Students gathered Wednesday, January 18th in Ramsey's Hubbard Elementary School for an assembly to kick off the new "One School, One Book" program, in which every student reads the chosen book with their families at home over the course of a month.

The book was revealed when the students unfurled a banner with an illustration painted on it. The chosen book was "A Cricket in Times Square" by George Selden.

Every student will receive a copy of the book to bring home to read, while in-school activities coordinate with the reading to enrich the students' curriculum.

This is the second year the school is participating in the program.
