The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades is a thriving social service agency and a major cultural resource in the Metropolitan area. It serves more than 3,500 member families and offers outstanding programs and services that span the gamut from Early Childhood education, children’s programming, summer camps and teen services to state-of-the-art health and recreational facilities, a School of Performing Arts and a nationally-acclaimed school of music. As a social service agency, the JCC also offers vital programs for people with special needs, an adult day care serving people with Alzheimer’s and related forms of dementia, a Therapeutic Nursery that draws people from around the country and around the world, as well as specialty summer camps for children with cancer or special needs.
Its facilities include an early-childhood playground, three outdoor play areas, state-of-the-art classrooms, two spacious, air-conditioned gyms, five indoor and outdoor swimming pools, an indoor running track, a modern, two-story fitness facility and Wellness Center, a teen fitness center, racquetball courts, dance studios, ceramics, a professional theater, and a state-of-the-art multi-purpose auditorium.
