Along with the nonprofit social enterprise First Book, Jaguar Land Rover and Tata Sons presented 10,000 books to over 130 third and fourth grade students at Jackson Avenue School in Hackensack yesterday.

Santa Claus visited children and families at the Franklin Lakes Volunteer Fire Department, where he gave out presents to all good boys and girls who came out for a photo op with him and Mrs. Claus.

The Academies at Gerrard Berman Day School in Oakland held its "Repair the World–Tikkun Olam" event, where children ages two through 14 participated in an art project to create a giant mosaic using recycled and repurposed materials, led by art teacher Shelley Jaffe.

The Edgewater Education Association and Edgewater Recreation Department hosted the first annual “Spooky Stroll 3K,” a charity walk along the Hudson River, beginning and ending at City Place at The Promenade in Edgewater.
