The novel "Snapper" – a "Jersey 'Jaws,' " as Peter Maloney describes it – started with a sibling's tale about an incident at her home in Ringwood.
"Snapper" is the first foray into novel-writing and e-book publishing for the Hackensack couple, who live in a nearly century-old red brick house with a writer's studio on the property. They have written and illustrated more than a dozen children's books, including "Redbird at Rockefeller Center," "The Magic Hockey Stick" and "One Foot, Two Feet."
