An artists' reception was held Jan. 10 at thegrassynoel in Teaneck, an art gallery currently featuring the works of three local photographers.

Since it opened in the fall of 2012, thegrassynoel, owned by Noel and Sandra Gussen, has hosted events dedicated to showcasing local talent.

It is currently hosting its fourth exhibit, "Across the Bridge and a Bit," featuring three photographers: Mark Beckenbach, Marko Jokic, and Maria Christina Lau on the subject of New York City and nearby vicinities.

Their work will be displayed through Feb. 4 at the gallery, located at 396 Cedar Ln. in Teaneck.

Mark Beckenbach was born in teaneck and currently studies photography at LaGuardia Community College in New York City.

Marko Jokic is a photographer from Teaneck. He has spent most of his life in and around New York City and Mexico.

Maria Christina Lau mixes formal and conceptual photography by creating works that reference history, memory and dream states while employing both traditional and digital photo techniques.
