When the mother of Maria Saravia, 7, of Englewood died last year, it fell to her father and grandmother to take care of her and her four brothers and sisters — and to make sure they have a Christmas.

So on Wednesday, Maria and her grandmother, Victoria Knight, visited the Bergen Family Center Children’s Closet to pick out some presents, new clothes and a toy.
