Joey Travolta's Short Film Camp and MarbleJam Kids held the premier of their new film project "30 Minutes Tonight" at Saint Peter's University this past Friday.

Joey Travolta, special educator and film maker, and his crew of professionals teach kids ages 12-23 the art of film making from concept to creation. In two weeks, campers learn everything from script development, pitching an idea, lighting, directing, acting, editing, animation, and shooting a digital short film. The program is inclusive to kids with special needs and on the higher end of the autism spectrum or aspergers. It is not a special needs camp, however the program infuses social skills in a creative environment with film making the common denominator. The focus is on collaboration and support of each others creative contributions.

MarbleJam Kids is a New Jersey DDD authorized service provider of creative arts therapies and therapeutically supported after school enrichment programs for children through adults with autism spectrum disorders, related developmental disabilities, and special needs. The programs are social skills-based and focus on providing an atmosphere of support and success. The organization is located in Tenafly, NJ.
