Wendy Boiardi is a makeup artist for (201) Magazine. She lives in Cresskill and has two children, ages 11 and 8.
Wendy has been making people look good for six years, and also works freelance for private events and television.
"I love transforming a face, I love making people feel good, I love the creativity of color, and creating a flawless face," she said.
Her favorite makeup techniques are the smoke eye and pale lip, she said. One of the challenges of her job is working with flawed or acne-prone skin.
"The keys to achieving looks that I want are good makeup brushes, the ability to really mix color, and understanding clients' facial structures or facial features. Understanding their features will enhance them."
Her favorite photo shoot for (201) was in the September 2011 issue, where the magazine featured an industiral-themed fall fashion. (See gallery above)
"It was very glamorous, and the fashion styling was very chic and festive," she said.
Wendy is also a Registered Nurse at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where she works several shifts per month. She enjoys the flexible hours of both her jobs, allowing her to balance her work and family life.
