Conair has partnered with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and developed The Power of Pink line of products. With the purchase of any one of the products from the line, like The Power of Pink Infiniti by Conair Professional 1-inch Tourmaline Ceramic Straightener ($40), Conair will donate a minimum of $100,000 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The line is available at drugstores and mass retailers nationwide.
Donning a Donation
Purchasing the INC International Concepts Scroll & Ribbon Sublimation Hoodie ($49.50), designed exclusively for Macy's, will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Macy's will donate 5 percent of the purchase price, up to $15,000, now through Oct. 31. The hoodie is available in select Macy's stores and on macys.com.
Designer Elie Tahari created a limited edition T-shirt ($35) exclusively to benefit Saks Fifth Avenue's 2011 Key to the Cure. One hundred percent of the proceeds from each shirt sold will be donated to the Entertainment Industry Foundation's Women's Cancer Research Fund. Rebecca Taylor has designed a special nude eyelash trim ruffle blouse ($235) to raise awareness and funds for the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation. Cook for the Cure
KitchenAid is offering this soft pink 5-quart Artisan Series Stand Mixer ($349.99) that helps support Cook for the Cure, a partnership between Susan G. Komen for the Cure and KitchenAid. It can be purchased at Macy's, Kohl's and online at kitchenaid.com. KitchenAid has committed to a minimum of $450,000 in donations to Komen for the Cure in 2011.
Helping Hands
OPI launched a limited edition Pink Shatter: Pink of Hearts Nail Lacquer ($8.50) to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This year's nail lacquer marks the debut of fan-favorite Shatter coat in OPI's first pink shade. Each bottle has a special pink-ribbon tag and pink cap wrap. OPI will be making its annual donation of $25,000 to Komen for the Cure. The nail lacquer is available at professional salons, JCPenney and Ulta stores.
Setting Your Sights
The Oakley store in Westfield Garden State Plaza is offering a breast cancer awareness collection, featuring a variety of eyewear, including the Oakley "Stockholm" breast cancer awareness edition goggles ($150). Oakley is helping support the Young Survival Coalition by providing $20 from each sale of this collection to the organization.
