By Bergen County Historical Society hosts vintage baseball game at New Bridge Landing

The Bergen County Historical Society hosted an old-time doubleheader baseball game between the Brooklyn Eckfords and Flemington Neshanock at Historic New Bridge Landing in River Edge this past Saturday, playing in an open field by 19th century rules.

Organized baseball has been played at New Bridge in Bergen County since 1873 when the Enterprise Base Ball Club of New Bridge won the county championship.
