The Shannon Rose Irish Pub in Clifton hosted its spring 2014 Bar Wars championship, the final heat of its biannual bartender competitions, where Dennis Salmoilis of Shannon Rose Ramsey won the competition and took home the top prize and the winning trophy.
Two finalists from each of Shannon Rose’s locations in Ramsey, Woodbridge and Clifton converged for three rounds of rapid-fire challenges, culminating in a $500 prize and free accessories for the top bartender. The winning drinks will also appear on the Shannon Rose’s spring and summer menu.
The War of the Roses progressed through five heats over four weeks, starting with a local competition at each of the bar's three locations. In its second week, the first round of semifinals took place in Woodbridge. The next round of semifinals was held in Ramsey, leading to the finale in Clifton.
The next War of the Roses will be hosted in early September.
