Battello, a restaurant tucked away in unique marina location on the Newport Pier, celebrated its Grand Opening on Saturday night in Jersey City. Managing partners, Cory Checket and Darren Conway, unveiled Battello to over 450 of their closest friends and family. The night kicked off with a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by Jersey City Mayor, Steven Fulop.
Guests enjoyed a variety of passed hors d'oeuvres from executive chef Ryan DePersio’s modern Italian seafood-themed menu, a raw bar, and nautically inspired signature cocktails. Throughout the evening, Michael “Mikey” Deleasa’s band performed in Battello’s main dining room overlooking the Manhattan skyline; in Battello’s back lounge area guests enjoyed DJ sets by Kasey Berry late into early Sunday morning.
On hand to celebrate Battello’s Grand Opening with owners Checket and Conway were Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl Nina Agdal, Kevin Jonas and wife Danielle, Mike Woods and Juliet Huddy of FOX News, retired Giants pro-bowler David Diehl, Anthony Carrino and Genevieve Gorder of HGTV, and Rutgers football legend Eric LeGrand.
