Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) hosted its 15th annual Spring Luncheon at Cipriani 42nd Street yesterday. WABC-TV news anchor Lori Stokes was the mistress of ceremonies, and Lianne Mandelbaum was honored with the Leadership Award for her commitment to making travel safer for people with food allergies and for raising awareness of the seriousness of the disease.
Abbey Braverman, Roxanne Palin and Stephanie Winston Wolkoff the co-chairs of this year’s event, which featured guest speaker Dr. Hugh A. Sampson, Professor of Pediatrics, Allergy and Immunology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
All proceeds will benefit FARE, a national nonprofit organization with the mission of ensuring the safety and inclusion of individuals with food allergies while relentlessly seeking a cure. FARE works on behalf of the 15 million Americans with food allergies, including all those at risk for life-threatening anaphylaxis.
