Helping Hand: Closter model Emme to join Memories Live fundraiser

There are times when Emme, one of the first successful full-figure models, wishes her daughter could listen to her grandmother's voice. Emme's mother died of cancer when the Closter resident (born Melissa Miller) was 16 years old, and not many videos of her mom exist.

This lack of tangible memories inspired Emme to team up with Millburn-based Memories Live, a non-profit organization that helps people with long-term or terminal illnesses preserve photos, stories and other memories by creating movies for their loved ones. On Saturday, creator Kerry Glass will host the second annual Memories Ride cycling fundraiser to raise money for future movies. Emme will be among the participants.
