No Quit: Former Bergen Tech standout Noelle Hickey won't abanadon pro career
By ED MILLS of The Record

Noelle Hickey is back home in Bergen County where she started her star-studded tennis career. And while comfortable and happy to return to North Jersey, she still aims to resume her path on the professional tour.

Hickey, the former Bergen Tech standout, is an instructor at CourtSense, the tennis training center at the Tenafly Racquet Club. She has worked at the Bergen County facility since graduating from UCLA and gaining All-America status before going on to play professionally.

"I’m happy to be where everything began. It all has come full circle and I’m still moving forward," said Hickey, a former standout at Georgia Tech before transferring to the West Coast power. "It’s special to be back in this area and the home where I grew up."

Hickey lives in Hackensack, where she grew up with older sister Bethany, who also played for Bergen Tech. Her mom, Valerie, got both of them interested in the sport as she helped run Meadowlands Tennis Club, then became a longtime administrator at Maywood Tennis Club.
