Fans of the New York Giants and runners of all ages took part in the inaugural New York Giants Run of Champions 5K, presented by Walgreens and Duane Reade. The 5K run ended with athletes dashing down the field at MetLife Stadium and finishing in the end zone.

During the 3.1-mile run, athletes ran around Meadowlands Sports Complex, looping around the Timex Performance Center, the Meadowlands State Fair, American Dream and ended in MetLife Stadium. The event was put on by the New York Road Runners.

Some football fans brought footballs on the run and pretended to be a star player during the final 100-yard dash. Runners could see themselves on the stadium's big screens as they finished the race.
