When local teens Alexander Bittan and Daniel Zaytsev were ready to graduate from high school, they knew college wasn't for them. Although barely out of their teens, the two began to plan one of the riskiest financial moves one could make: opening a restaurant.
"I didn't want to stay in school anymore; I've had enough of that," said Zaytsev, of Cresskill. "Opening a business is an interesting turn of event and challenge to overcome."
Now, Bittan, 19, and Zaytsev, 18, own and operate Englewood's first burger joint called Burgerwood, a play on the city's name and a Hollywood theme they decided to incorporate into the business.
