"I think what I love most about what I do is the excitement of getting the information first," Harris Faulkner, Emmy Award-winning Fox Report Weekend anchor, says.
Faulkner, who is also a motivational speaker, lives in Edgewater with her husband, Tony, and their kids, Bella, 6, and Danika, 3.
"I'm a news junkie, and I think Fox is number one because we're hungry, all the time, for information," she says. "We have just that big curiosity as a group, as a team and as individuals, too. My mom says that when I was a kid I would question people until they'd walk away. I was just 5 then. Imagine what it's like now! It's amazing to have all that information at our fingertips, especially at such an important time in our history, too, with the election and everything else going on in the world in general."
"Edgewater is a really special place. It's right on the Hudson. We live up the hill from the river, with great shopping options in our town.
"Our favorite thing to do is hang out on the boardwalk. We've got one kid on a bike with training wheels and another on a tricycle, and they both ride scooters. The boardwalk has that perfect flat surface, and we get to look across the river at Manhattan. It's just spectacular.
"We love Cassie's in Englewood. It's family owned, and I think they have the best grilled chicken on the planet. The food is just terrific.
"I'd like to think I was chosen on my merits. Fox is number one. They could put anyone on. Everybody wants to work at Fox. To be chosen means that I must be good at what I do. I feel blessed to work at Fox, because I know they looked my way because they believe in me and they think I'm good at what I do.
"We hang out a lot in Englewood for meals, but we also love the River Palm in Edgewater. When our parents come to visit, especially my mom, she loves to go there.
"We've also got Bed Bath & Beyond and Whole Foods, just great stuff for the family."
