Woodcliff Lake is an upscale community that sits about 22 miles northwest of Manhattan in the Pascack Valley area of Bergen County. As its name implies, there is a large body of water – Woodcliff Reservoir – that lies primarily within the borough and adds to the scenic beauty of the area. Many sections of the community are heavily wooded, providing a sense of seclusion and rural tranquility for both the residents and the professionals who work in the area.

Parks & Recreation
Wood Dale Park, part of the county park system, is a 55-acre tract that includes walking paths, tennis courts, a large pond, and play areas for two- and four-legged family members. The Old Mill Park complex is another popular place for recreational activities, including swimming, tennis, and a variety of youth and adult sports on the full-size athletic fields. Many borough-sponsored events are held in both locations throughout the year, including a popular summer camp for local children.

Summer Fun
Residents can cool off on a hot summer afternoons at the town pool.

Tice Farms, a roadside farm market in Woodcliff Lake founded in the early 1800s, was a landmark for many years. Today, Tice's Corner Marketplace, an outdoor mall with high-end stores such as Anthropologie, J.Crew, Pier 1 Imports, GAP, Talbots and Williams-Sonoma, is located on the site of the farm.

Going Old School
The Woodcliff Lake School is the oldest continuously operating school in Bergen.

Blue Moon
Bergen residents love their guacamole, tacos and fajitas, and local chain Blue Moon has developed a winning formula for satisfying their South-of-the-Border cravings.

Fast Fact
Woodcliff Lake was actually incorporated as the borough of Woodcliff in 1894, but it was re-named in 1910 to match the name given to its post office. At that time, before zip codes, no two post offices could have the same name, and since a Woodcliff Post Office already existed in Hudson County, the "Lake" was added.

Location Matters
The borough has its own train station served by New Jersey Transit and is bisected by the Garden State Parkway, making it an easy commute for most.

Popular Eateries
Casa Del Sole is famous for overstuffed Italian sandwiches and other specialty foods.
