More than 2,500 participants competed in the 2012 Ironman U.S. Championships in New Jersey and New York on Saturday. The competition is one of nine U.S. qualifiers for the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii in October. The race includes the 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride and a 26.2-mile run beginning in New Jersey and finishing in Riverside Park in Manhattan.
