The Northern New Jersey and Rockland County Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation hosted their 10th annual Dream Gala this past Saturday at the Sheraton Crossroads Hotel in Mahwah. The event helped support finding a cure for Type-1 diabetes. The 1970's "Hustle to the Cure" themed fundraising gala included disco dancing, cocktails and dinner. Former Governor and Mrs. Brendan Byrne were honored as the 2012 Family of the Year. Linda Tharby, president of BD Medical-Diabetes Care, was honored as the 2012 Woman of the Year.
